Swimming pools/Classes?

    I am looking at joining swimming classes soon. Does anyone know any pools/clubs in the NY/NJ area that I can start with?I don't even know how to go about looking for these classes:bonk
    I have a pool in my apartment complex but I am not sure if I would be able to swim as it is almost 10 years that I had learn swimming and so want to take up classes.

    A very good place for adult swim lessons is the local YMCA or YWCA. You might also find classes at your local recreation center run by the city. Try the Y first...they have great programs at reasonable cost.

    I second Tina, I am a member of the YMCA. They have great classes there.

    One other suggestion is the local community college. That is where I learnt my swimming and it was excellent...after learning there I joined the Y to practice and keep up with swimming every week.

    Neha, you are lucky then...just go through their classes schedules and I am sure they will have it. All the community colleges in my area have swimming classes.

    Yes, I did find one too.. but the classes already started :-(
    i"ll need to check with other colleges or wait for another batch....they seem well priced too...10 classes 150$

    Yeah I guess its mid session right now...the classses might start in May/June again. Wow $150 for 10 classes is cheap.
