    To MOM & DAD:

I wanted to celebrate this day with you. I wanted to give you both a big hug. It is your 25th wedding day! Celebrating the love you shared all these years. But if I do so, you both won't react to it because you both didn't share any love. I know this is yet another day for you.

When I see a happy family, I always prayed one day my mom & dad will come back to track but you both never met anywhere. Lots of differences and lots of misunderstandings.

Your love parameters differ and that ruined your complete married life. I think God doesn't have a xerox machine to produce identical creatures. You both are different but still you can love each other. The choice is yours. You choose the miserable path.

Life moves on and on. Still you both are husband and wife and thats what the legal papers say. So we are here on the 25th wedding anniversary.

Today you both planned the day from morning to evening - where to go and how to celebrate. Even this you did for the sake of doing. I understood. Dad, you wanted to watch a movie and Mom, you wanted to visit a temple. We finally made the plan - visited a temple and then had dinner outside. Watched the movie the next day. Thank God, you both managed it so well and didn't pick up any fight at least today.

The most unforgettable moment is when we were in the restaurant having dinner. You discussed about your golden days....about your love. Nice to know such things. I couldn't question you..."Then where your love broke. Why didn't you lead a peaceful life?" I didn't have the heart to spoil that beautiful moment. Even if this makes a start to your love, I will be so happy. :)

Thanks for making a family today! :bowdown

    From your daughter.
    Dated: May 1st, 2010.

    Dear Mithy,

That's very touching.. How you must be feeling at that moment. When we see our parents sharing love with each other, the moment is so lovely. We feel so good and complete and when it doesn't happen, there's definitely an incompleteness. Now, i know you've come upto terms, but still a child is a child, always wanting to see her parents sharing love.

I can only wish happiness and peace of mind for you.

May God listen to you dear.

    With Love...

    Your friend..

    Dear Mithy,

I am 35 yrs old but still my parents can reduce me to feeling inadequate or a helpless child everytime I think about their situation which is no different to what your parents are in.

It is hard to step out from the mediating role which I have gotten used to since a kid given that I was their only child. And from your words, even if I am not able to fathom out if you are tired of your mediating role rightnow, I know you will never give up on them, the same way I still keep hoping for a better relationship between my parents. But yes, a small bit of advice, don't lose track of your life concentrating on theirs - my dad always tells me to butt out whenever I try to make peace between them. And nowadays I am seriously trying to do that if for nothing, but atleast for my peace of mind.

My words might not provide you the comfort you seek but perhaps someday you might see the wisdom of it. My prayers to give you the strength to deal with what life has bestowed on you and my sincere wishes that it gets better.

From someone who knows what it is to be in your shoes,
    Take care,
    Sujatha

    Mithy,

That was a very moving snippet.
Really made me think for a while on what the child goes through due to the lack of understanding among parents.

    I simply loved this line:

    Hugs to you.

P.S: Your parents are indeed lucky to get a daughter like you.
