Vaccination Schedule in US/India

Pray2God, we did spread out the vaccines after the 2nd month shots. DS was profoundly ill after vaccines and we found we could handle it better when we did not do combination vaccines. At 3 years and 5 months, we completed the vaccination schedule that's meant to be completed by 2 years and 6 months. Otherwise, the vaccination schedules are pretty much identical. If not it is mostly to do with what vaccines are optional and what vaccines come under the universal vaccine schedules. That differs from country to country. I will post DS's schedule once I "unearth" the card

we are planning to stay for 3- 4 months.
Is the Vaccination Schedule in India and US same up to 1 year?

Does any one has India Vaccination Schedule chart for 2010?
Will it create any problems if we take some vaccinations in India?

I have an almost 5 month old son and want to do a delayed schedule and am thinking of not getting those shots that are optional in India. Could you please send me the schedule in India that you had for your lo? thanks a heap

Mini, I am not sure how it works in the US. But this is the shots we gave at the time...
Oral polio Day 10
BCG/HepB - Day 27 (when he reached 2.1 kg of wt)

Hep B, Oral Polio DTaP Hib 6 weeks
OP DTaP and HiB 10 weeks (when he was significantly unwell/crying for days together)
OP DTaP 14 weeks
Hib 18 weeks
OP Hep B 24 weeks
Measles 36 weeks
Varicella 15 months (optional, but all our neighbour's kids had bad chicken pox two years continuously till then, so we went ahead and did it. Good thing for us because they had the chicken pox this year too!)
OP, DTaP 19 months (due 18 months)
HiB (20 months)
DS was unwell between then and 24 months, so we waited till 27 months to give MMR. Our paed was also looking to see if she can break it up to monovalent vaccines and then give them over 3 months. Merck by then had stopped making mumps vaccines, so we decided to wait till he was 27 months before giving MMR.
Typhoid (again optional) 29 months
Hep A 33 months (due at 2 yr 1 month)
Hep A booster 40 months (due at 2 yr 7 months)
We did not do two other optional vaccines - for rotavirus and pnemococcal diseases. Because we believed we wont need them because we were not planning on having DS in daycare.
I dont know how comparable this is to the delayed vaccine schedule that Dr Sears recommends. I would recommend the Vaccine book by Dr Sears before you decide on one that suits your needs. Ideally a medical professional should also help you reach a schedule suitable to you in addition to the book.
Also, I dont believe there is a link between thimerisol and autism. And I do believe, mercury free vaccine alternatives are available in most cases. But from what I saw, the multiple vaccines always made DS drop a few skills he had picked up and some of his sleep issues resurfaced. But I think that is very much a part of the child's temperament. Some children can bear any disturbance to their environment, some others like my son are much more sensitive. Good luck and sorry for the delay in responding.
