Weight Loss Buddy

    I hope every 1 is doing well..

    Alpa u r really great, ur support is of great help to every 1 like us...a big hug to u dear...

    I am still regular with my excercise routine and also diet, iam still excercising for more than 2 hrs in de gym 1 hr 10 mins of cardio, then lat pull, work out on abs machine, 100 * 2 sets os skipping, 15 to 20 surya namskars, squats and weights and my diet as usual.
    I have developed lot of stretch marks on my bums and also on my thighs, iam applying olive oil / mustard oil every day in the nite, but there is no difference, in the marks, can u suggest is there any remedy for this

    Hi ,

    Here is my Yesterday's diet(04/22/2010):

    7am : coffee with milk(1% milk) and 2 tsp sugar

    9am : 1 chappati with little channa masala

    10am : 1 cup of boiled channa

    130pm : 3 chappatis with channa masala

    5pm : tea with milk and sugar and also had little kurkure(i cant control it)

    830pm : 1 apple

    10pm: 1 cup milk(boost)

    Exercise: 10 min light walk
    water:2 lts

    diet for 04/22/10

    BF: oats and peanut butter with raisin and 1 cup skim milk
    Lunch: rice and beans curry and few baby carrot
    Snack :banana and apple
    Dinner: pizza (DH brought from office) - couldnt control my craving
    1 orange

    Exercise: 20 min jog, 30 min walk and 10 min strength training
    water :2 liters

    Diet not so good yesterday

    Thanks for the reply. My legs are feeling much better now. I was able to run at high speed (6 mph) today.

    Dear Deepthi,

    so nice to have you here, i am very happy to see that you are working hard, can i suggest something that instead of using the abs machine, do the abs work out yourself using your own body weight, like do 60 counts of around 5 different ab's exercises. Squats are good.
    the stretch marks are due to the weight loss in your body and only you can do is keep on applying the olive oil and massage it.

    My age is 34 and my weight is 93 Kgs. right now i m doing 30 min thredmill. what i wnt to know is to achive my ideal weight how much cal i need to burn everyday. i need to get in shape before dec 10. please help me out.

    welcome here. First please indicate your height and also indicate if you are suffering from anything, diabetes,thyroid or any other ailments.
    Post your daily diet here and exercises here so we can help you.
    30 mins of tread mill does not help a lot you need to work your entire body and muscle, for how long have you been doing your treadmill and have you seen any difference. can you join a gym if you can start of with aerobics, it will really help you, initially you will find it difficult but after 2 weeks you will get used to and you shall see that your body is feeling light as well.

    Thanks a lot for your reply.
    My height is 168 cms, i am non veggieterian. about my health...
    I ve PCOD,i ve iregular periods,( i ve been on pills for about 4yrs.) My doctor says which is the reason for my weight disaster.
    About joining a gym , i ve to search for a gym where they teach aerobics..
    I m doing the treadmill for abt 25 days now and ve not noticed any significant change in me.
    Yes my food habits are not healthy, but i m trying to regularise that. i am a bengali and therefore a rice eater.
    Please help me. i need it very badly.

    Dear Alpa,

    I had rice yesterday, after a long time, just wanted to get the taste to my buds. I had very lite dinner yesterday to compensate. I got my periods last evening, so I really didn't do any exercise this morning. Will start with lite walking this evening onwards. I am able to control my taste buds a lot even if I have a favourite food in front of me, Dh was having kulfi last Friday, but he was amazed as I was not tempted at all!!

    Alpa, my periods got delayed and I got it in 42 days(Usually its between 30-35 days), I am actually in my TTC journey now and will be starting my IVF formalities from Sep onwards. I got to shred this 4 kgs by then :) Hope I will and since my AF arrived I hope to see some downtrend in my weight this week. It was constant in 57 for last 2 weeks :).

    Thanks for your support and I will post my diet tomorrow.

    Good morning Apla,

    My diet for yesterday: 25/04/2010


    8:00 am -- warm water (750 ml)

    8:30 am -- A bowl of oats mixed with little curry

    11:00 am -- 1 banana

    1:00 pm -- 2 chapati with mutton curry + 2 mutton pieces

    4:00 pm -- 1 glass of milk with psylium husk

    Around 7:00 pm -- 1 apple

    9:30 pm --- salad + small bowl caramel pudding


    Water: Around 2.5 lts (warm), Walking for 30 mins in the evening
