I dont know whether with age you dont like noise, crowd etc. Sometimes I get very irritated when there is too much noise.
While working I used to travel by train and while coming back out of the station there will be so much crowd but I did not have any problem at that time. Now when I see the crowd I get very irritated.

Sometimes while going to the market I am in a hurry to go and some people walk so slowly dont give way to the others to walk and I get irritated. But sometimes others might be getting irritated with me because when I have bag full of vegetables in my hand I am not able to walk fast. Otherwise also now my walking speed is less after my hip bone fracture. But looking at me noone will say that I have a problem. My husband walks very fast , previously I used to walk along with him but now a days I am not able to catch up his speed. But still I try to. He is a person who will never look here and there and walk straight. Since we go to many places together many people have eye on us and some say oh good to see Parvathi Parameswaran together.

The place where we stay there is so much traffic on the main road it is very difficult to cross the road. Atleast I am able to manage going alone anywhere and cross the road. The other day one lady who also must be my age or a little younger was telling me to come with her so that she can cross peacefully.

    Dear Viji

You have made some very good observations.
During youth, people hardly notice anything till it hits them directly ! But as people grow older, they become more sensitive.
But these days there is so much noise pollution everywhere that even when one is feeling a bit downcast, this pollution causes irritation.

In most big cities, with double lane traffic, crossing the road is a major battle ! We should have more subways and skywalks to cross the ever busy roads.

How nice that you and DH, make a Parvathi Parameshwara like pair ! Touch wood to ward off boori-nazar !

    Hi Viji,
You have some very nice topics!!
I think our patience runs out as we get older. I too have very little patience when I go shopping. I go into the store, head exactly where I need to go and head out. There is also so much hustle bustle going on in places. I get irritated by noise. You have kids that are running all over the stores and crying and throwing fits and parents don't do anything about it. I try to avoid shopping at busier times. Traffic congestoin is over the top. But i am learning to deal with it in a more positive way.

    Hugs!

    HI

Honestly speaking in India the major cities are mostly chaotic.People walk in the main busy traffic roads, pavements meant for walking is always encroached by zillion things.Always the pedestrians are put into major risk of their life. With every household going for two wheelers, the number has increased incredibly in cities like Chennai. The amount of violation thro noise ,pollution, unruly speedy drive, forgoing traffic rules created by two wheelers leads to major accidents almost everyday. They have no concern for anyone nor themselves, they have to prove their valour on roads driving zigzag , crazy honking.People walking on roads have to be safe with the oncoming traffic frm any corner, they turn deaf with high decibels of all sorts, hardly one can hear anything properly. When you think you hv parked safely and alighting frm car one cannot be surprised if some two wheeler knocking your car door or a beggar trying to creep in with a baby,we shd be prepared for all kind of surprises and still manage to drive safely,is indeed a marathon.Think of an alternative ,of walking to nearby areas, again we are crucified by not an inch to walk safe .We shd be well at acrobatics, hale n healthy, thick skinned to overcome all these commotions everyday.
Have seen many times old people carrying loads, extra weight struggling to walk, sorry to note that even the same age pepople doesnt sem to have patience fr each other. They push or dash others on their way heading their way without considering. Sad to note that though many spiritual gurus we have in our country, talk of moral values, people offering prayers at temples , very less people follow any regime.:crazy

    Dear Lakshmi

True when we grow older we become sensitive and observe even small things. Mumbai has become very crowded now a days, too much of traffic also. Now they are trying to make skywalks to cross in our area.
