    Hi
I was reading an English Magazine and there was this article about how couple fall out of love, meaning the initial love, passion, affection oozes out and they become distant and indifferent to each other and eventually just separate. Note that, this is not due to any major crisis or trouble in their marriage. It happens just like that, some mental vacuum.

I want to know your thoughts, can a passionate relationship just fizzle out like that over a period of time ? Should couples constantly keeping kindling their love ?

Natural blood relations like parent-kids, sister-brothers etc stay the same always (unless one person has terribly wronged),so does this usually happens only with spouses ????

Sure it could "fizzle out" if the both partners grow apart to seek different things out of life over time. Or, if either spouse is just simply unable to provide what the other needs out of that relationship.

Love is tough, a little like caring for a plant. You have to tend it, care for it every day, but you also need to give it the needed space to fully bloom instead of remaining a stunted plant in another trees' shade.

It is different for parents/siblings because a large part of that love is truly unconditional. Secondly, you speak the same language to express your love as your parents/sibling that causes less resentment and misunderstanding.

I do agree with trying to keep up spice in your relationship as it helps in long run.

I assume it does not happen the same way with siblings and parents as expectations are low between each other but when it comes to spouse the expectations are high.
