    Dear friends
Please suggest some healthy evening snacks.
Nowadays she says a big "NO" to every snack; other than tortila chips. I don't have any plans to have chips as sole snack. Please pour in your thoughts.
I have atried cheese based biscuts and Parle biscuts. She doesn't find it palatable:spin.

My son is a picky eater too - this is what i give him for snacks

carrot sticks / chopped tomatoes / cucumber sticks
costco has these small oranges in a bag - seedless. I just peel and give the segments to him.
grated extra sharp cheddar cheese. only extra sharp, no other flavor does he like
trader joes has a lovely full fat yogurt in small cups, he likes it better than the yobaby.
bombay bhel mix by mirch masala - he just loves to pick up and eat this
ritz has this baked mix in snack pack size - found at safeway

Mmmm, that sounds good! I have to try that.

Nitha, we eat dinner around 6 pm so Riya is happy just with a cup of milk after her nap.

But for snacks during the morning she likes - string cheese, Pretzels and raisin mix, assorted fruits depending on what she feels like. Her recent fav has been PB&J sandwiches cut in different shapes. I have assorted cookie cutters that I cut the sandwiches in - flowers, bunnies, dinosaurs, star, heart etc. and she loves them! she doesn't even look at them if I give her the same thing as a regular sandwich.

Does she want it crunchy? how about plain old apples and peanut butter? There was this phase when DS ate only crunchy food, so apples and frozen fruit snack it was and lunch was always accompanied with papad/or veggie chips...

Thank you Thank you and Thank you
Lately I have been running out of ideas.
Sindhu/Suma/ pmahensa; I used to give yogurt and banana. Now because of "unlimited" cold sessions; I stopped both. I don't know if it is scientifically true. I stopped it; because my mother said so:).

pmahensa; Is it pre-cooked carrot sticks?
Raj; String-cheese added;) I tried Peanut topping; it was rejected.
Krithika; She likes apple. Both K's have same taste I guess :))

Tina; She used to take bread-cheese toast and now she says no it. I will check with applesauce topping.
    .

Sindhu; she takes one or two fish shaped cracker(forgot the name:)). Rest everything will be in floor crumbled.

Pragati; Thanks for reminding "popcorn". She likes it very much. If you wouldn't mind; I would love to have your 20 list.
Thanks a lot for your ideas dears. I can try one by one.

nopes just plain raw carrots ... kids go through diff phases and right now mine is "I like crunchy things" so carrot sticks are a good snack right now.

and yes he loves popcorn too .. trader joes has a kettle popcorn which is slightly sweetened ... looooves it.

also boiled chola is a fav... I boil it to soft so that it is easily eaten. sprinkle a bit of chaat masala and toss with some olive oil for extra calories.

in rice he only likes parboiled rice. basmati and jasmine are a no. I boil it with some seasoning salt. then I fry some tomato paste in olive oil, add some pureed spinach and the rice and stir fry the rice in this mixture. very yummy! (and healthy). or I grate some carrots n brocolli, stir fry it and pressure cook it with the rice till soft. you can also mix this rice with some bread crumbs, cheese and then make small balls and fry them.
