    Dear Sathya !

thats great. I am proud of you. We are having Hindu so eager to shoe my family when they come back from their offices. I read the article now dear. It was very touching and it is very very true that we wont wake up until one day we face the same situation. Each and every words from the article are like hammering on our heads. This is not only for sparrows. But we are having the responsibilities of saving so many other things. Let us hope atleast the fellow Ilites and their families will wake up after reading your article. Excellent job friend. I am touched and I promise I will do whatever I can to save the other species and our environment.

    thank you'

    Dear Sathya,

Great! I did read the article yesterday and even commented to my husband - I feed them you see! I mix rice flour in my kolam powder, just to see the sparrows - The Seven sisters ! I also put grains in a pot outside our dining room window so as to hear the birds' twitter.

Lovely writing and pleased to know the writer!

    Love,
    Usha

Well written article on The Little Brown 'Getting' extinct Bird, Satya. I read it on The Hindu yesterday and thought that’s a good one with a beautiful sketch of the Sparrow. Very proud to have such talented person in IL.

    Dear Sathya,
That was a touching ode to the fast extincting sparrows which you had contributed to 'The Hindu'.
These lines were very catchy as well as heart wrenching! How selfish has the human race become! But one thing, whoever invented the cell phones would not have realised or known at the time that they could cause harm to birds. Of course, it is another matter that most of the inventions are harmful in the longer duration in some way or another. Once, mammograms considered a boon for women with breast cancer is now found to be a cause of cancer in non existent cases too because of its radio active emissions.
The closing sentence wore your unique sense of humour at its best even while conveying the strong feeling of disgust and hopeless undercurrent in the statement!
Many a time I too have thought about the sparrows and felt sad about the vanishing species in our cities. It is only my hope and prayer that they have migrated to deep forests where they could dwell peacefully, far, far away from this maddening, sickening human population.
    Love
    Malathi

Apt title. Of course, it is very true Satya. I also have the same fear that sparrows might become extinct. You have discussed the subject in a nice way.
    Keep writing.
