    Hello Payal,

I seemed to have missed your earlier post.

If that is stated by the sponsors regarding probationary, it could happen. But in general, after the employee lands here, he will have to undergo formalities for his visa. And it could take about a month.
Then immediately he can apply for his family's visa. (My husband got my visa, the same day he submitted the papers for it ).

After that, there will be medical test and visa stamping formality for the family in India, before travelling here.

It took exactly two months for me to come here, after my husband's arrival.

Hope this details give you an idea. All the best to you :thumbsup.

    Bye

    Dear Saraswathi,

Is there a saudi consulate in Chennai? Otherwise do I need to go to Delhi or Mumbai for stamping.

    Rgs,
    Vidhya

    Dear All,

In this forum I could see family can join the husband in 2-3 Months time.
But I wanted to know the procedure for getting family visa. Is there any link which tells clearly about the requirement for obtaining family visa.

Should my wife travel to New Delhi or Mumbai to get the visa stamped?

I am sure many of you settled in Saudi now should have undergone this procedure.

Please share your views as it would help many of our indian families shifting to saudi.

Sorry friends, for the delay in replying here. Was on a two weeks vacation.

Maybe, by now, you would have gathered the information that you were looking for. Anyways...

Payal..I stay in jubail and am a housewife now :)

Vidya... No, not in Chennai. But then you need not travel to Mumbai or Delhi for the stamping. You could assign it to genuine agents to do the same. It takes not more than fifteen days. For me it took just 7 days to get the stamped visa in hand.

rgopal.. As I mentioned to vidya, your wife need not travel to get the visa stamped.

Regarding the procedure, I am not sure about the exact link to give. Let me check out.
You could go through the posts in this subforum to check about the procedures or experiences shared.

To tell you briefly...Once you arrive here, you will have to undergo the medical and other formalities to get your Iqama (residency status). It could take about a month.
After receiving your Iqama, the very same day, you can submit the papers (you will be adviced for all those by your employer/sponsor) for your family's visa.
The visa can be obtained the same day or within a weeks time.
Then you will have to send the visa to your family back home. There, they will have to undergo medical formalities....and send the medical report with the visa and tickets booked, to the consulate for stamping, through a genuine agent . There is a fees for it. The stamping procedure will not take more than 2 weeks.
Hope this helps. All the best.

    bye

hii saranya... better you wait to get a valid visa after 3 months.. in single status you cannot get in to saudi arabia... as a permanent resident... if you want to become a visitor then okie you can get in by single status..
