    Thank u so much for the reply.
    I totally agree with u in having mastery over the domain in which one works.
    As i have taken a break from my career i want to utilize this time and do a certification in software testing. I was going through CSTP and CTM certification. But as you said, i will have to attend classes before taking up exams right... as i mentioned i would be having a baby soon... and it would be difficult for me to go out and attend classes.. i was just curous if its possible to study for the same at home itself ?? and are there any other certification exams which would allow me to study at home and take up exams ?
    while browsing the net for this i came across, ISQB exams as well .. whats the scope for these certification exams ?


    Waiting for other IL's inputs on this as well.... :coffee

    Apologies for the delay sunshinez, and am sorry I have no idea about ISQB exams and/or their approach.

    I believe there is one thread having details about ISQB or a similar subject with materials here in IL. That should be of help to You. And do keep us posted if You need any help in preparing for the certification :)

    thank you so much for the reply.. i found ISTQB thread here in IL's which is very useful... :bowdown



    now am planning to collect study material and other info for the certification .... will need help and lots of suggestions from all IL's who have done there testing certification ... :)

    ISTQB is not a very tuff exam.
    if u have real exp. in software field then it is more easier.....
    all the best!!!

    I have done B.E from india and have 2.3 yrs of experience in manual testing under healthcare domain..Staying in NewJersey n have my EAD..Please advice me how to get a job here....

    HI friends,
    Please give your suggestion waiting for ur reply.
    I am 24 yrs old married, i completed my graduation in science 2005. i got addmission for M.sc and couldt complete my PG bcoz got married in 2007. in these 2 and half yrs i Completed my Diploma in HR and worked as recruiter for 3 months. but i want to start my career in software testing,
    my question is that 1.is this right time bcoz now they refer only passed out year 2.If yes then what would be my first step to start .OR should i have to quit. im totaly confused and frustrated as all my frds r working and independent. Please help, hoping to get answer.:thumbsup

    I read “A Software Testing Primer” by Nick Jenkins and i felt its very good for beginner

    There is site softwaretestinghelp, might help you lot..

    Hi,
    I am working as Senior software test professional at Technopark,Kerala.
    i have 3.7 years of experience as software quality engineer.
    I need to shift to dubai by may 2010.So I have resigned my present job.
    I il be joining my husband who is working in Dubai.
    But i want to work after going there also.
    Can you please guide me about the career opportunities for Software Quality enigneer in Dubai.....Also i would like to know about the certifications/Courses which will help me in my career growth...Due to some personal reasons my financial situation is not that good ..
    Need a job urgently!:drowning...Could you please advise
