We worship Women, We love Women as Mothers We seek affection from Women as Sisters We are Men We place Woman on a Pedestal, We need Her We use Her, We misuse Her We are Men We love our Wife, We hate Daughters We flirt Women; We abuse Her We are Men When Women dares! and Gets down her pedestal We hate her, we fear her We are Men Wonder! Why God fears to get down from pedestal The offerings will stop from all, Shall ignore the Lord We are Men The Rest are Women
Dear Sureshbhai, that was a good one, never heard before.Yes we love our wife, but dont like our daughter, for we ahve to give dowry and she will cost us financially, is it ? Well , so many think that way, in our family they say, ever Girl is a lakshmi , and she brings her own luck, but who can tell that to the people. Good one. Regards kamal
Searing poem. coming from a man, a confession. Man loves woman if she's a deity, dumb, static and reactionless. Man hates the deity if she's a woman alive, thinking and fearless. Man loves Images built by himself with his wishes, his ideals, his dreams When shadows rebel, and pedestals crumble Man mourns the image the image that never was. When dreams are dead and deities gone the rest are women feared, hated and burnt. Neither Deities nor Images but Entities they are; Can man never love women the women they are ?
Mr. Suresh, An honest confession of a man on your behalf, kudos to that. Tubelight, thanks for the counter poem. liked it very much esp. the part "Man hates the deity...... if she's a woman ....alive, thinking and fearless."
Dear suresh, A very different but true poem. Except that I dont think men hate their daughters. I heard that usualy men are very fond of their daughters. The mother with her sons. We are not having daughters ( Which Me and my hus were very much longing to have ) so I cannot digest that one line. nats, the reply poem also is superb. thanks for sharing friend.
