Friends, As one of the senior-most ILites, I flag off this thread!! Networking with youngsters spread across the globe is a privilege, IL platform has offered us!! Let us chit chat merrily here!! Love, Chithra.
Hi, everyone, I have never felt so proud on being 50 before, than I have today. But frankly in my mind I am still very young. I cherish my past more, and do not worry about what future has in store for me. I hope to make some good friends here and have them forever. In fact I still keep in touch with my university friends and we talk about stuff as if it happened yesterday. So ladies lets get started.
Hi, I am happy to see some seniors who are young at heart here. I also feel young since there is responsiblities now. I want to make some friends here to share the thoughts and make life more beautiful. Radha
Hi Radha, Glad to hear from someone with mutual thoughts. According to me I feel responsibilities are changing with grown up kids.I have a 21 year old son and 2 daughters, 20 and 15.
Hi! Here I am to tell you all that I am very happy to be a part of the IL Senior Citizens.... Life seems to be coming a full circle as my DH and I are enjoying life with minimal responsibilities now. I have two cute grandchildren, the older one is 3 years and the little one is just 2 months. With the experience gained through the years, I think we have become more patient, tolerant and with a lot less angst! Love, Padma
Hi all! I do not know whether I would qualify to be a senior citizen by age! Because, as per the railway reservation rules, a senior citizen is a person who is 60 +! Definitely, I would have to wait for 12 more years to be accepted as one by the railways! By experiences in life, sure I have had both sweet and bitter ones, but certainly, not enough to proclaim myself as one! By having performed ones duties satisfactorily, may be, to some extent, I can boast of this! If it is by the greying hairs I certainly can enter into this league! No, not for any of the above reasons, I want to be in this forum, but to get enriched with all your experiences and discussions! I will keep visiting here whenever time permits. Love, Malathi
Malathi, Its good to here from you. 60+ or 65 are just numbers. One is always preparing for the next stage in life. Each stage of life has some responsibilities coming with it. It is a great satisfaction if one has discharged one's responsibilities to the best of ones abilities. I have been a member of indus ladies for sometime, however, I can tell you I have loved interacting with all the ladies in this particular sub forum like never before. Everyone is so positive, and meeting happy people with a positive outlook is very therapeutic. Looking forward to hearing from you about life's experiences. All the Best.

I am proud to be IL Senior Citizen. I feel this is like a family where we get lot of love and affection. I am old by age but young at heart. Here many of the youngsters call me Vijima and I feel so happy hearing that. I am a grandmother of two cute little angels who are 1 year old and I keep myself busy with them. Their smile makes me forget the world. May God bless all love viji
