    அன்புள்ள நட்புக்கு,

    எனக்கென்ன செய்தது நாடு எனும் கேள்வியை விடுத்து நீ நாட்டுக்கு என்ன செய்தாய் என்பதை பார். பெற்ற தாய்க்கு மகன் செய்த கடமை எவ்வளவு முக்கியமோ அதுபோல தாய் நாட்டுக்கும் செய்ய வேண்டியன நிறைய உள்ளன என்பதை வெளிப்படுத்திய அர்த்தமுள்ள கவிதை. நல்ல சிந்தனை கொண்ட விதை. இந்த விதை விருக்ஷமாக எனது வாழ்த்துக்களும், ப்ராத்தனைகளும்.

    panthikku munthu....... go first to serve the food.
    padaiku pinthu..........wait for the right opportunity.

    Other friends, please excuse me for jumping the order.

    What Deepa said is right. I wrote this for the literal meaning, which we use commonly. That's what we are good at. :)

    The real meaning is:

    Pandhikku Mundhu:-

    Tamizhiyans use Banana leaf to eat food. The lower half is for rice & the upper half is for all side dishes. To reach out to the side dishes, you will have to stretch your hand the farthest, hence Pandhikku Mundhu.

    Padaikku Pindhu:-

    In a War, when you use the bow & arrow to fight, the arrow has to be stretched the farthest to the back, so that the arrow travels faster & longer to hit the enemy, hence Padaikku Pindhu.

    Next time I shall make sure that, I clarify the reason behind a kavithai, if it needs to be.

    அடுப்படியில் வரும் சத்தம் ஏன் கூடுதலாய் இருக்கிறது?
