hi kanthamani....i'm not well versed in tailoring or stitching..anyhow i share the method i'm using.. use ur stitched salwar top to mark the measurements..use the one which had the normal neckline such as round, square or else.. fold the fabric into two, leave 2to3 inches from the edge and mark ur neckline first.. from that point place ur well fitting salwar and draw the outline of it.. and nw u can design it of ur own....thats all i know. hope it will help u

Dear Kanthamani , first you decide what type of neck design you are going to have, and your neck line depth, fold the cloth lengthwise and mark your neck pattern, decide what type of the design will suit your neck pattern, trace the design , remember to leave enough place for stiching the neckline, if you are having one portion of the emb design you reverse the traced design and place onthe other side of the neck pattern there wont be any confusion, in tracing the design, it is always to emb before cutting the cloth, for the sleeves fold the cloth mark the center ,leave 2 to3 inches from the hem line trace the design, for the front portion of the kameez if you are emb,ing small motifs you can trace diagonally keepin equal distance, hope these will be useful to you.

    Hi Kanthamani,
It is best you go to your tailor, select the neck pattern and ask him to mark the portion(outline) you want to work on.Also ask him to mark the portion for the sleeves. He will do that for you....thank you......Harina
