My uncles daughters wedding was arranged in our village. My uncle was a music teacher at ceylon and all the children were very good in some form of music like vocal, gatam, mrudangam, violin etc. They formed themselves a group and used to conduct programmes. They know almost all the top musicians. So Uncle fixed Shri Seshagopalan's music concert on the janwas day. The whole village was very much thrilled with the news and we too. Since my house was one of the biggest in our village and very close to the kalyana mandap, my uncle decided to arrange for his stay in our house.

Me and my friends were very excited and planned for what to wear, how to talk to him, who will attend him if he ask water or anything etc. On the janwas day in the morning we all had shampoo bath, put pattu pavadai and davani, and waited for him very nervously. When finally the car came in front of the pandal, we tried to stood in the front row to get a good glimpse of our beloved musician. When he came out of the car we all felt satisfied to see him very fair, big eyes and sharp nose. On admiring him we didnt notice a beautiful woman got down from the car and stood behind him. My sister who always liked to tease me whispered in my ear, "See who is accompanied your beloved sesha ( our close circle call him like that), I think she is his lover". With jealous we all started looking at the lady and tried to assume who she will be. My uncles daughter confirmed she is the new deciple of him. Even then we couldnt digest that she came alone with him.

With all that, we enjoyed the concert very much and didnt take our eyes away from his face. Once or twice when he looked at us while singing, we felt some current passed through us. At dinner we managed to sat in the same pandi in which he and the lady had. We hardly ate anything and waited for him to finish. At ten o clock in the night after the formalities he left in a car with the lady, and we returned to our houses with heavy chest.

On the wedding day we were so involved in the fun of oonjal, nalungu etc , that we almost forget our beloved Sesha.

    Ganges,

I am assuming that this was a long time ago :) I don't think TNS would agree to do Kalyana Kutcheries anymore :) Nevertheless, I am big fan of TNS though it's been a long time since I heard any of his live concerts.

    Dear Ganga aunty
I also could understand the anxiety ,curiosity and teasing mentality of you people when you saw your icon.I was waiting till the end to see who the lady was.
It may be his trick to protect himself from the beautiful lady fans there haha.......

    Thanks for your fb.

Immediately after the wedding for some days we tried to find out about the lady. All we got is she is a student of him. After some days we also gave up searching.
