Re: What To See In Singapore

    Hi there,

I am Maseera and I just read the blog you seem to have proper information about Singapore. I being new to Singapore, really dont know where to take my children on weekends to play. I know there are many parks for them to play in the society but they get fed up of them and need a change sometimes.

I wanted to know if there are some nice play parks for children where they can do boating, swings, slides etc.

    Waiting for a reply,

    Thanks

Must See, Must Buy in Singapore?

    Hi Dear IL's,

I'm visiting Singapore for 3-4 days this May. I'm a mad traveller and love to see as much of the place I visit as possible (its not restricted to the typical sight seeing places) So please tell me the places I must visit to get the best out of my tour.
Also want to know what are must buy things?
P.S. I'm not a shopoholic definitely. I buy only when i'm sure its a good deal and i won't get that particular thing cheaper or better quality anywhere else. Not spending spree but why not utilize the chance?

    Thanks in advance!

    Regards,
    Vaidehi

Sonia, You are coming to Singapore or visiting India for a day !!!!!
Indians [Indian origin] - I guess rarely visit India for a day. 1 week is norm and in cases 1 month as well if time permit :)

In case you are visiting Singapore then Bus tour is a nice option.. but remember to get down and move around and catch subsequent buses/trains to airport.

    Hi friends,

One of my friend, who is an Indian passport holder, is in US now. She wants to tour Singapore and Malaysia for approx 1 week. So she will be travelling from US to Singapore, Malaysia and then go back to US.

In this case what is the visa process? Can she get tourist visa after reaching Singapore and Malaysia airports? Or should she apply for tourist visa in US and carry visa with her when travelling to Singapore?

In case if she has to get visa in US whether she has to get Singapore and Malaysia visa together in US?

Pls clarify my doubts. Hopefully I am clar in my questions

Re: What To See In Singapore

    Hi Vijee,
That was wonderful information. Very helpful in preparing for my trip. I'm now checking the routes for the places you mentioned. I only have 1 1/2 days between work for sight seeing and shopping though i'm not very keen on shopping. I just have 2 queries:
    1. These costs you mentioned are for 2007. How much have they changed since approx?
    2. Are there some items worth purchase i won't get any better in India like must buys?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Vaidehi

    Hi Vaidehi

    Welcome toSingapore!

Add 30% to 50% to the costs that I have mentioned.

No must buys here since we get all the items in Indias. Many friends buy electronic items & Gold, Bags, shoes, kitchen/bakewares, casseroles.
