    Hi,
I am writing on behalf of my daughter. She and her husband landing in Guangzhou during middle of September on two year term. They ar coming from Mumbai. Since she is not a member i am writing on her behalf. Can you just tell me about Indian Stores in Guangzhou are available in your city. What about Rice and Toor Dhall etc. Otherwise she has to carry something now.
I shall be grateful for a line reply. Further till they settle, is there any indian restaurants where we can get indian food.
    with best wishes,

Hi I am Durga, from Wuxi, China. Here we have around 10 indians families. And we get groceries from Bhoomi and Indian Kitchen.

Heard that they are not going to get things from India for some months or so. So they are selling all those they have now. Anyone who are getting things from these stores, rush and stock your groceries in home.

    Hi Siji,

    :cheers
We are also moving to Bangalore from Wuxi next month.
Can you suggest me, what sort of gifts we can buy for the family members. Have you finished purchasing? What to buy for elders like Parents, Uncles, and In laws.
Is the yuyuan market in Shanghai having such gift items too? We are planning to visit Shanghai for gifts shopping. Please suggest me.

    Hi all,

I am a Malaysian Indian and desperately looking for some friends in China. I will be doing some surveys in China pretty soon and I need some feedback from those staying in China regarding a magazine which my company will be publishing. It's quiet difficult to get any chinese nationals online, wondering if they do have access to internet. Anyway I am happy to be able to get in touch with some of Indus friends in China. Please feel free to contact me as I am longing for your opinions on this magazine. We actually have not yet planned the contents of this magazine as we are more interested to get the feedback from the survey. We would like to know what is being looked for or lacking in magazines that are circulated in China. Is there any magazines in English?

    Hi Shashi,

Here in China, they do have some english magazines, and those are bought only by Foreigners and not by Chinese. As far as the Chinese are concerned, they can live without English with all sort of facilities available in the World. They have everything in chinese, including mobile phones and other household accessories, etc etc.

Even for foreigners to get english news paper, we have to go to post office and show our passport and declare that we dont understand chinese and so we require an english paper. (In Wuxi this is the practise, i dont know abt other places)

You are not able to get chinese ppl in internet, because they browse, mail and chat only in Chinese language. As we are from India, we cant tell much for a new magazine. Only chinese nationals will be helpful to you. You can find some Chinese in Wuxi life - Expat and Locals together. This forum contains mostly ppl from other countries, but few Chinese are also present.

    Hope this helps.

    ~Durga
