yeah...good thing is no pricking...and though am on diet , qty doesnt matter now...that is what I like...eating bland foods only..I think this diet will go on for 2-3 mos...
so watz new with LOs? mine is unpredictable..each day different pattern...
they say after 30 days, LOs will follow a pattern...need to see...

hope all mommies are out of the birth pains....sometimes i can feel some pain in hips and near incision...i thght it may be bcos of long feedings and no rest :-(

second time mommies, how are u managing ur first ones...i feel i've neglected my son...slowly trying to spend more time with him...

I too feel sometimes that i am neglecting my elder son, spending more time with the newborn. My son likes his sissy verymuch , wanted to be with her, play with her,but we r pulling him out bcoz we r scared he may harm to baby unknowingly...........thats y always keeping any eye on him when he was with baby.

Ladies, I need some information regarding carrying pumped breast milk. How to carry refrigerated BMilk while travelling? After taking out from refrigerator can we keep the milk at room temp. for 4 hours. or Do we need to carry it in icebags until reaching destination. Once BMilk is thawed (taken from refrigerator) do we need to feed immediately or can be stored at room temp . until 4 hrs.??Any suggestions plz............

so how many mommies are back to work? how are u all managing..

Anitha, I saw in other post that u arent feeling well...I hope u get well soon...

    Hi Prachee,
my first one lost colour few days after birth and it took like 2 mos to get back..i believe this is bcos of their exposure to environment and all infants lose colour...now my LO too is losing colour...
w.r.t reddish dots appearing, all newborns have it and it is supposed to be bcos of mom's hormones..dont worry, all this will go off soon...me too in same boat hoping my DD wud be okay by second month...so nothing to do with ur oil...unless it is very bad and itches ur kid too...

Paddu how are you managing 2 kids alone. I am not able to manage my son with my mom here.

Prachee I had heard coconut oil is good for babies. Even my mom says the same.

I cannot calm my son down when he is crying but as soon as my mom picks him up he is quiet. According to my husband I start to panic when P starts crying and he senses it so does not calm down could it be true. I know it sounds funny but I am jealous of my mom. Any ideas on how to handle this situation?

    Shwetha,
same situation used to happen with my mom...contrary to u i used to be happy as that meant more rest for me...and used to tell my mom that i've to take care after 3rd month , so better u handle him now...:)...enjoy this as afterwards u only have to take care...ur husband's reasoning is right...either u are impatient or tensed...

    Hey Ladies,

How are you all doing? I know I was the one silent all these days..
As you all know I was suffering from severe bacterial infection and just coming out of that :drowning. It was torturing my life for a week.
Am sad today coz my parents left to India today.. MIL is here !
I was away from R all 1 week and slowly started being with him.. Now am bathing him, feeding him etc etc.. I missed lovely days with my son when I was infected..

I also posted a thread reg my son's stools prob.. He is not passing stools since 2days.. Initial days he used to pass stools 4-5times a day bt now on formula he is not passing.. Waiting to see if he will pass in 1-2 days otherwise need to go by ped advice.. Anybody tried glycerin into rectal area for LO's?????????

    How it is there?

Shwetha - I dont understand why you panic?
He is your son... You have to know how to deal with him :)
Just relax dear.. When he cries try to do these -
    1. Soothe him with your words like chella kutty no crying.. see here.. dont cry dear.. etc etc
    2. immediatedly insert a pacifier into his mouth(if he accepts only)
    3. Try to play lullaby songs(i have lullaby songs player near his crib area)
    4. take him & hug him for sometime

do all these and you can control his cries..

Mostly, babies will cry for hunger, sleep or uncomfortableness

so u can deal withhim now.. try it
