hi, my son is 9 months old and i took him for his measles vaccine.but the doc told they r giving the vaccine only when the baby turns one yr old.But in india it is given at 9 months.can anyone tell me why is that so here?
Hi Ramya, First you consult the child doctor, they will give vaccine card from 0 months to 5 years old. At what time, what injection do they need is available in that card. pls consult and get vaccine card, follow the vaccine as per age. When u go to hospital pls show your vaccine card is provided in India and get back new vaccine card from ur place.
Hi, If your baby is born in India, you will find 2 doses for measles, 9 months & 15 months. But in UAE, they give it as a one dose at 1 year. Regards, Ansu
hi ramya, My son was born in india and has just turned 9 month old.I have yet to find a good peadiatrician.can u tell me which doc u consulted? also as u said that in uae they give only one vaccine at 1 years, but i heard other docs are giving the vaccine.have u consulted other peads? is it afe? thanxs
dear ramya, what ur pead says s true. im n qatar & the vaccine as per india to be given to the kid at 4 here s given btw 4 - 6 the the pead it says vaccine chart diff from one place to another & also the extra polio drops given in India is not given here as they say here kids are less prone to it.........so just go by ur pead & nothing to worry. I have consulted 2 doctors before giving the vaccinae and both of them said the same thing... 1 year.... my ds didn't have any problem after giving the vaccine at 1.. where do u stay in Sharjah? Ansu
If you want to take the vaccination in doctor's presence, try Anjana Sajith (Prime medical center). She is good. Mohan Kamat(Zulekha Hospital) is also very experienced.. But vaccination over there is done in nursing room.. Regards, Ansu
