    Nandhu,

These were some of the eat outs we freaked during our recent India trips.

Nalas Aapa Kadai in OMR (there's one in Velachery too, I guess) - WOW! varieties of aapams that one couldn't imagine. Vegetarians have lots of choices too.

Murugan Idli shop in Besant nagar (there are few outlets in T.Nagar too) - Try their Pic Dosai - comes with a super potato curry. I am drooling :)

Hey buddy, howdy? Romba naalachu unna inga pathu.

Idhu unakke gnyama irukka? Ava ava inga kanjundu ukkandirukkom nee kalyana sappadu, must eat outs apdinu thread arambicha enna artham. Sari sari adikka varadhe.

First athukku pakkathulendhu start pannaren. Venkateswara poli stall in arya gowda road (its very close to KV colony).

Naa madrasla irundhappo we have made rounds and rounds in restaurants (roundu katti adikkardhu daan apdi sollaren :crazy). There's a fruit juice shop/chaat corner just as you enter ranganathan street from station road (I guess its opposite to the salwar material shop, name is gone out of my memory now), excellent chaat and fresh juice.

Sangeetha's in nungambakkam high road. Cholayil Sanjeevanam (idhuvum NH road daan). Appuram namba ashok nagar kayendhi saravana bhavan (man I can live there for their bisibele and fresh juice).

Nanna ensoy pannittu va. Na oorukku pohardhe sapda daan nee vera, mathadellam appurama daan. Kalyana sappadu vera kalakku and keep tums ready at hand.

I love aapams... Variety in it?... sounds very interesting, that I must try.. But from what you said, it serves both veg, non-veg I gather? My inlaws won't enjoy there.. may be it should be our latenight spot then ;) Thanks Malathy.. will check it out..

My friend had mentioned about this, he was there for his yearly vacation in December. hmm.. Wow... I guess except for a day or 2, where I would be having homemade food, most of the time I will be stuffing my face in all these places ;)

Konjam busy and that too with vacation and all :) hmm.. nambala mathiri NRI makkalskku intha mathiri once a year thaan heavenly nenaikuren..

Yeah had been there ;)... good food :thumbsup:thumbsup It has become a default spot to visit atleast once.

hmm.. with all the shopping, may be will check it out... Seems to be very near RMKV and all, right (I am not a chennai vasi, so I might say totally wrong things, bear with me ;))

Kandu took us there.. It was good.. had their full meals.. Amazing...

But this Sanjeevanam, I had reviews and its in my list.. kandeepa poganum.. I guess they provide healthy food, no?

Is it the same Hotel Saravana Bhavan you are talking abt? Or something different. I was surprised how much our taste bud has died when I went to saravanas. I am a good kaara eater myself, atleast thats what I thought, but their sambar was so spicy for me, I was sweating :( May be its changed now.. I love their sambar in those days...

    Kandeepa :) Thanks !!!

True Nands. I usually wait for my India trip to eat in dhabas and hotels (In Delhi eating in dhabha is the most delicious treat :)). On top of that get to eat ammavin kai manam, there's no match to it.
This one is just at the place where you come from west mambalam (electric train ticket counter kitta) in Ranganathan street. If you go from RMKV side to Ranganathan street then this shop is towards the rear end (ambika falls in the beginning). Its in the right side from S.Usman road side entrance. Try panni paaru.
Yes they do. They save food in an orderly fashion that you won't get filled up even after you had a big thali. Enjoyable atmospherea irukkum.
Exactly adhuve daan. This Ashok Nagar branch is more like a take out or stand and eat type of place. But their taste is unbelievable. I have eaten in almost all SBs in chennai, this is the best one.

Appuram don't miss out having "Badam paal" at Ambika appalam depot in the rear end of ranganathan street. Appuram there's a Quickie's coffee bar in NH road, good coffee and back to college type of atmosphere.

There's a murugal idli kadai close to GRT itself (panagal park).
