Calling all moms... to share the stories you tell your children. other than the books they read my children enjoy listening to stories i tell them. i also enjoy narrating the stories in a way they like it.

here is one of the story that i tell my boys..

Once upon a time there was a biiiiiiig banyan tree with loooooots of branches near the lake. In one of the branch there was a beautiful nest in which two cute little dickie birds Sam and Tam lived. There lived a cunning snake under the tree in a hole. Sam had layed four eggs in their nest. This cunning snake always wanted to gobble the eggs. Sam and Tam took very good care of their eggs. While Sam was away to get food, Tam takes care. While Tam was away Sam takes care.
One day Sam had gone to get food. Tam was baby sitting the eggs. Sam did not turn up for a loong loong time. Tam was worried. so he looked down and around. The snake was not there. So Tam thought that he would go for a quick round and look for Sam and come back.
By then the cunning snake came out. he climbed on the tree and reached the nest. He opened his mouth to gobble the egg. Just then Pete, the bird in the nest next branch caught hold of the snake and threw him down in the lake. The snake fell 'thobak' in the lake. Sam and Tam both arrived at the nest. They said 'Pete, thank you so much'. and Pete said, 'Dont mention, it is my pleasure'. Next day all the four eggs hatched into Chinku, Pinku, Tinku and Minku.

    My kids love this story.
So all the moms please share your stories..
    regards
    Lakshmi
