Hi ! That was most interesting ! I had not heard of it . The Zero Rupee note looks very real 1 Its an inspired idea no doubt. But I don't now how effective it will be in India. Here Corruption is so deep rooted that it is practiced openly and as a matter of right. People who give bribes also are equally guilty of encouraging the evil ; many want to get their work done, by hook or by crook and are ready to pay. Our babus have no shame a all. If they had any, they would not be so corrupt, so openly and so everlastingly inspite of so many bhashans, articles, letters in papers. How then can they be shamed by a funny note ? They may not take bribe from that one person showing the note, on that one occassion, but will merrily go on squeezing others. This is my view. But if the Zero note really works, I will be the happiest person ! Thanks for sharing something very interesting.
I don't understand the psychology behind the Re. 0 notes! I believe the only way corruption will reduce is when people refuse to pay corruption!
[justify] Yeah exactly...that's the best way...but no one can follow it apparently. For example 2-3 years ago my friend's family were constructing their home and had to get plan approved. The municipal office kept delaying it because they were not ready to give bribe. They thought of police complaint about the official too...but who cares even police department is corrupted.... and even if the file a case successfully they need to go around the courts (which case goes on till my friend may bear her children and her children bear their children) and due to which their actual purpose is being delayed. So general public instead of bearing all this headache just resort to giving bribes. Its a cycle actually....givers and takers...none of them can back-off... There was movie is telugu named "Tagore" ...chiranjeevi starrer (the one who started praja rajyam party )....The story line was based on corruption. The Hero vexed up of corruption starts a secret force called ACF(Anti corruption Force) which is spread throughout the state.....and catch holds of (kidnaps) 10 top corrupted people in any department and kills top most corrupted fellow...this way he creates tension in whole department they stop taking bribes. Yeah as Tubelight said they may not back-off seeing a note....this might not work too.... But sometime I seriously want to see a corruption free India.Apparently one of my Husband's friend wants to try this. I will update you regarding the same. Thanks for the views ladies.[/justify]
