    Dear Mrs.C,
I made Carrot burfi for this new year and it came out simply delicious..Tastes very similar to coconut burfi and i had to use just 1/2 cup of coconut too..Am attaching the photo below.
Also tried Methi pappu, brinjal chutney, onion garlic chutney, ginger rasam and puli kuzhambu..Methi pappu was refreshing to taste w/o tamarind and brinjal chutney was the first vegetable chutney i have made and i was wowed by the taste.Ginger rasam was so flavorful that my husband had it like soup.

    Thanks,
    SuBa.

    My dear Chithra,

Hope you are doing well. Its been quite some time since I posted any feedbacks. I tried the following recipes in the past two days.

    1. Dhal-roti- I made it today for our lunch. It tasted awesome along with hot rice ghee and pappad. I made quite a lot, planning to save some for our dinner along with phulkas. But everything vanished in the afternoon itself.

    2. Varuthu archa pulingari- I make your 'pulingari' recipe quite often. But this time wanted to try varuthu archa pulingari. It was quite different and very tasty. The 'masala paste' not only gives the required thickness but also a very nice flavour. I made vazhakkai roast to go with it. But the dishes complemented each other well.

    3. Potato masal sambar -I made the sambar as a side dish for idiyappam. I think this sambar will go with all tiffins. We all had more sambar than idiyappams. Next time will try with idlys.

Many many thanks for sharing such wonderful and tasty recipes. I shall come back again with more feedbacks.

    Take care
    Love and regards
    Priya

    dearest chitra mami

today at home with little kaushik. he is finally showing signs of improvement from his wheezing and cold. whew!! .. today for dinner made masoor dhal dosai.. i used up that left over bottom maavu and a little more of fresh idli maavu and just ground the masoor dhal with red chillis. the dosai as usual tasted supero super. kids loved it as well. paired it up with murungakai sambar.

made a fresh batch of granola bar. this time tried recipe no. 2, with chocolate. i used cheerios instead of rice crispies, almonds, peanut, oats, wheat bran, raisins. looks and tastes grand. i also used corn syrup this time. right now it kind of crumbles, hope as it cools down, it will settle into bars. i cant believe that i have grown into trying exotic stuff like granola bars. thx for guiding us thro.

for lunch tomorrow made carrot rice. another easy , super tasty , make in a jiffy, very attractive rice.

    thx for everything

also i made Mochai Masal in the link http://www.indusladies.com/forums/ask-chitvish/570-shakambari-vegetables-unlimited.html#post2515

I made it for Lunch tomorrow and i had some for dinner as i did not want tio miss it....The smell just dragged me and said" 'Nisha Eat eat eat..."

    So Nisha ate :rotfl
