Even though, cleaning and organizing is quite tedious, this aspect endears to most women. Keeping the house in order and pristine condition gives a sense of control and accomplishment, isn’t it? We have compiled few top tips on cleaning and organizing. Check them out and share some of your secrets in keeping the house spic and span.

Kitchen

1-Clean and wipe the kitchen top as soon as you finish cooking with wipes or a soft cloth.

2-Place a newspaper when cutting vegetables or fruits which make it easier to collect the peels and waste. It also prevents the kitchen top from smudges.

3-At the end of the week, pour a solution of baking soda, vinegar and hot water to unclog the drain. You can also apply the solution on the sink and let it sit for few hours and then rinse to see great results.

4-Get rid of unpleasant food odor from the utensils by scrubbing them with a pinch of baking soda. There will be no trace of the smell after the rinse.

5-Soak the kitchen chimney plate in a tub full of hot water with soap powder in it. Scrub it with a big brush after 10 to 20 minutes for a sparkling clean chimney. Do it every month so there is not much grease on it.

Floors

1-Mop the mosaic, ceramic floor with a cup of vinegar, baking soda and warm water to get rid of stains. It also makes the floor shine.

2-Dusting: Use facial brushes to remove dust from deep corners that are hard to reach and a hair-dye brush for hard articles. A hairy duster or a soft cloth is useful for overall dusting.

3-While cleaning the windows, clean the inside of the windows first. This is because the outside windows are much dirtier and, therefore, can quickly dirty your cleaning tools.

Bathroom

1-Prevent the formation of soap scum and mildew by washing and keeping the area dry.

2- Once a week, scrub the bathroom tiles with vinegar and salt solution to see the stains gone.

  • Using cheap shampoo/dish washing liquid gives sparkle to the tiles. You need to swipe them off with a dry cloth immediately after cleaning to get zero watermarks.  Clean them tile by tile with a scouring pad (big one). Regular cleaning reduces the formation of scales that are very common with hard water.
