1-Salt Water Scales:

2- Clog-Free Drain:

A clogged drain is one of the most common plumbing problems. For a moderately clogged drain, pour a mix of hot water, a cup of vinegar and baking soda into the drain. Leave it for ten to fifteen minutes, which will dissolve the grime and dirt in the drain. After some time, pour some more hot water into the drain, which clears the remains of the drain.

Find out if the kitchen drain is made of plastic of metal tube before you wash it away with hot water. Plastic tubes have chances of melting in high water temperature.

3- Super Charge Your Laundry:

Vinegar and baking soda along with the detergent powder will leave the clothes fresh and clean, thereby avoiding the use of fabric softeners. Vinegar removes stains and odor while baking soda is also a general stain remover. 1/2 cup works well for top loading washers and 1/4th cup for front loading. Put the mixture in the fabric softener dispenser of the washing machine.

You may also want to apply a paste of vinegar and baking soda on stubborn dirt areas such as perspiration, collar and cuff rings and let it stay for an hour before putting them in the washing machine.

4- Cooking Mess:

Make use of vinegar and baking soda to remove the cooking stains from your stove by sprinkling baking soda and spraying vinegar on the messy area. The combination loosens the grime making the cleaning process easier. Let it sit for few minutes before you can scrub it off for a visibly sparkling stovetop.

5- Tarnished Jewelry:

Remove the tarnish on silver jewelry by applying quarter cup of baking soda with two tablespoons of plain water.  Scrub the blemished area with a soft cloth, rinse and dry. Make use of baking soda and a bit of vinegar to clean gold jewelry and rinse clean. Never use this technique on jewelry that contains precious gems or stones as the chemical reaction can damage the finish.
