Here is a short animation movie , adapted from the very familiar hindu epic "The Ramayana". The movie is narrated in what sounds like Singaporean or Malay accented English, and has lots of Blues sung by the Jazz singer, Annette Hanshaw. The movie "Sita Sings the Blues":
The immigrant experience and aspirations are in the song "On Broadway" . The experience is not too different from someone who can code, and goes to Amreeka. For the indian classical music aficionado, there is aalab, and even a drum solo. While not exactly teen-taal, it is pretty good. Skip the lyrics and go to the video...
