    Hi,

Really sorry for posting on this topic again but we desperately need few opinions.
We don't want to for any screening or diagnostic testing if its not reliable

I mean if there are false positives where test showed problem but baby was all fine. Or screening test showed risk but diagnostic test was normal

Also I want to know about false negatives where test came out normal but baby had issues

Are there certain issues which these tests can detect & can even be treated ?

    Thanks

Please consult a genetic counselor. Your insurance should cover this. They will go over the pros and cons of the different tests with you.
Prenatal testing such as the non-invasive blood tests, or the invasive tests such as amnioscientesis or CVS will generally identify chromosomal abnormalites. It will not predict for behavioral issues . The ultrasound scans will also monitor the development of the fetus.
Nothing is a 100%, but most of the tests available today are very accurate.
