    Hi Ladies,

Planning to visit Yellow Stone National Park on my DD's spring break (April first week). Have few questions,

    - How long does it take to drive from bayarea, CA. Any idea?

    - Is it good to go stay in Utah and drive from there? If so what's the best city in Utah to stay?

    - What are the places or attractions to see in Utah?

    - How long is it good to spend in yellow stone NP?

    - Last but not least, what will be the weather conditions during April?

Any information will be of great help.

    -Uma

We came to know that the park doesn't open until late may due to weather conditions. Find out about this on their website or by calling

We flew in to Idaho falls and drove from there,so can't tell

The drive through Salt Lake city to Yellowstone is a memorable one, especially the Jackson Hole area
    - What are the places or attractions to see in Utah?
We only had a couple of hours, so we took a tour of the largest LDS temple in Salt Lake city.
    - How long is it good to spend in yellow stone NP?
Two days should be ok to cover yellowstone, but don't miss the Tetons. It is more naturusque and serene surroundings
    - Last but not least, what will be the weather conditions during April?
    Call and find out

Thank you Usha for the reply.

I'll try to figure out about the park opening and weather conditions from NPS website.

What's the best time to travel there, any idea?

Pooja thanks a lot for such a detailed info. Will definitely keep these things in mind. We are looking for flight deals anyways, as it will get very tiring with a 6 yr old.

Will ping you if I need more info.

May be I should postpone my trip then Usha :-(

But this year I have decided to visit this heaven on earth, as me and Ananya happened to read a book about YS NP recently. The details of it and the pictures are so mesmerizing that one would want to go there.

I'll definitely look into xanterra website for details. I looked into NPS website they have mentioned that the park roads will start to open sometime starting May depending on the weather conditions.

Was the 2 parks yellowstone and grand tetons that you visited Usha? I also want to add up glacier national park since we are going that far.

    Uma,

You must visit this heaven on earth, whenever the roads open to public. Ananya would love the wildlife like bison, and the hot springs. Tetons are so blissful, you will see artists setting up their easels and painting the beautiful reflection of the Tetons on the lakes.

We could visit the two parks only in that short time frame, as glacier national park would require more days to travel. May be some day, we might.
