    Dear Iravati,
    Sorry for the intrusion.

    Dear Mr SLN,
Welcome back to IL and none of the old timers can forget Mithila Kannan's valuable contribution to IL.

[QUOTE="sln, post: 4014843, member: 474349"]I am making an appearance on the screen after a hiatus of six years since the exit of my wife mithila kannan who had her own fan club in indus ladies. Some one expressed his anguish about writing by saying that the moment he took the pen it weighed like Lead.It becomes easier when we want to express and not impress.

Quite true. The pen will become like a feather when we want to express our thoughts. Now instead of the pen we got the feather touch keys to express.

Please continue your presnsence in IL with your posts.

    PS

DUH ! What the heck was THAT ?

Whatever it was , i still stick to my stand , writing is not agonising .
    Chasing errant/ runaway thoughts is.

    And I stand clarified.

    Writing is not agonising,
    For you and many others.
    Writing is agonising,
    For me and my forefathers.

    We dream to write,
Sit with a pen and paper.
Then get carried away in a flight,
    Thoughts airborne like a vapour.

    We want to write,
    Sharpen a pencil.
Then blank out like a dark night,
Voice snapped like a broken ankle.

    We strive to write,
    Fetch a laptop.
Then are interned like a carmalite,
    Temper blanched in one whop.

    Writing is not agonising,
    For you and many others.
    Writing is agonising,
    For me and my forefathers.

I can only wonder how , if writing is such an agonising exercise ( passed down the line from forefathers, no less ! ), the output continues to be so prodigious .( Or should the word be " torrential " ? )
    :)

    Iravati,

My brain is suddenly all twisted :) , courtesy your post. Writing for me is rather healing, it helps me to put the monsters and ghosts in my mind to rest. Procrastination is one thing though. Your post was delightful !! Here and there I had to read more than once, but nevertheless I am glad I did. Thank you.
