Everywhere I read, baby babbles from 4-6 months forward. My daughter is 6 months and 1 week old and she still does only aah. She squeals and makes noises but still no da da or ba ba.. We all talk to her a lot. My mom,dad DH and me. We read to her and sing to her but she still only does aah.

    Should I be worried?

Also do babies babble all day long? Or on and off?

some kids pick things very slowly there is nothing to worry ...... every child is different so wait for your cherish moments for example my son got his milk when he was 5th month whereas my friends son got his milk teeth when he was 18th month .......... kudos to your child

if i were you i'd be happy that her sound making abilities are limited at the moment, trust me, when she starts babbling, you wont have a second's peace.

Since she is making some sounds and aaa sounds, i would not worry at all. DS started late, and we're thinking of ways to keep him quieter a bit longer. ;-)
