Do you think working women make a difference in society than non-working women?
Oh my gosh!! Looks like you have decided to start a war among women
I was a working Mom of 2 kids and am now a stay-at-home mom ( run my business from home with my kids in my lap ).
So, in short, I have "Been there, Done that" for both roles. Believe me, as a non-working mom, I do three times more work everyday than any working mom I know. I am not exaggerating
And, I would not even dare to say that working women make a difference than non-working women. That would be a insulting remark to so many of our generation, my Mother's generation and almost all of my grandmother's generation. We all know how important our Mothers and Grandmothers were in our lives.
Woman is very important and integral part of everyhuman's life right from the time of birth. She plays a various roles as a mother, sister, wife, daughter and so on. Every woman in some way or other is special and has a special inherent talent, only difference being that some women get to exhibit their talent and some do not. In a conservative community like ours men always dominate women and most of them cannot do what they want to and what they can do. There are a few lucky women who get to do what they want or rather have the guts to do so even without the support of their man. But I think in no way working women are superior or non-working women are inferior.
Whether there is a difference between the two categories or not, I believe it is the non-working women who work more than the working women. I am a working woman but during weekends when I am at home, I am more strained than a weekday. Many times I feel the society thinks that the non-working women are not productive but in fact they are the ones who put their heart and soul to take care of each and every need of the family members. The working women can take some liberties/excuses for not doing some activities but the non-working women cannot..Families are part of society so definetely indirectly it could be non-working women who could be contributing to it.
Well.......a good topic for debate.Whether working or non-working, both women have some kind of work on hand to deal with and both are equally important.I personally it is the people around such women who make it more important or otherwise for her.
I could write more on that but precisely thats for the time being.
I personally think we should stop judging each other by starting threads like this.We all should help each other so we can lead better life and not keep wasting time judging others.I assume each individual contributes the society in their own way.
I started this thread just to know the views and thoughts of many on this topic.
we are not here to judge or compare anybody and I believe Indusladies website is to discuss such topics.
Anyways thanx to you all for the responses.
Peace and love
There is nothing like working and non working women as per me. I think women always work (either at home or outside).
I think there is no point in debating as to who has more work or who does more work as it would be never ending.
I have seen women working from home making the same amount as those who go to office,. However those who are not making money directly i.e holding the pay cheque directly (are making it indirectly by saving it in lot of innovative ways.)
I think it depends on the eye and perception.
Stupid question I would say.
What made you think that there are 2 such categories and one is better than the other?
If you can't answer to the post just leave it anyways who is forceing you to answer.
I just came to know there are women like you who can't even talk properly in public.
