Women Take Too Long To Get Ready

Mona was debating what long shirt to wear.

Last week she went to Little India to buy two long shirts, in case one shirt got dirty.

Both shirts were beautiful

The pink shirt made Mona look pink and peachy like a newborn.

The navy blue shirt bough out Mona's classical Indian features. Her deep set of dark brown eyes and her soft curved, baby doll eyebrows.

"Mona, hurry up, " her Dad yelled.

"I'm coming dad..", Mona replied.

"That does it, I want to be pretty in pink, plus I don't have blue eyeshadow, so I'm going to wear the pink shirt, " Mona thought to herself.

"Mona, hurry up, " her Dad yelled.

"I have to put on make-up, I'll be ready in 5 minutes," Mona replied.

"You can apply your make-up when we arrive there," Mona's dad said.

"But I don't want him to see me without make-up," Mona replied.

Mona's dad was getting impatient.

"Ok, dad, I'll take the make-up and apply it there," Mona said.

Mona and her dad arrived at the Court House.

"See, we have time, " Mona told her dad.

"Ok, you can apply your make-up in the ladies room," Mona's dad replied.

"Oh my, don't you look radiant, " commented a middle-aged lady to Mona who was looking into the bathroom mirror, applying her makeup.

"You don't need make-up, hon. A little make-up is ok," the middle-aged lady continued.

"Thanks, " replied Mona excitedly.

Mona, her dad, and Gurpreet waited outside the Judge's office.

The same middle-aged lady that complimented Mona came out of the hall. She was now wearing a black robe.

"Next, "called out the middle-aged lady.

The middle-aged lady saw Mona and recognized her.

"Hello dear," the middle-aged lady said.

"Hello," Mona replied.

Mona and Gurpreet stood in front of the Judge. Mona's dad was a witness.

After signing their names, the Judge pronounced Mona and Gurpreet Husband and Wife.

"You are very lucky, " the middle-age lady told Gurpreet.

"We are married!!!!" Mona exclaimed, hugging Gurpreet.

Mona's dad hugged both Mona and Gurpreet who were hugging each other. Then, Mona's dad half-jokingly separated Mona from Gurpreet.

"You both are having the marriage ceremony in India, so wait longer, " Mona's dad told them both.

"I've waited so long for this moment, I can wait a little longer, " said a pink, happy, beaming Mona.
