I was in a guided tour of a fort, and as we climbed up the endless stairs, one person was whistling a popular tune. Kept it up as the group ambled it way to the top. Was whistling really well. I cannot whistle. A brief sound might come out, maybe to beckon someone nearby, but nothing more. Wish I could whistle at least a short line from a song, and well enough so someone recognizes that tune. : ) So, I wish I could whistle. What is one such wish of yours? Simple one, nothing very complicated. What do you wish you could do, or wish you had? Speak some language? Dance? Cook some dish? Not get dark circles after a sleepless night?
So many things @Rihana, including the dark circles. I'll write just one - I wish I could write a novel - setting in my grandmothers' times in their village. But these things called "creativity, and imagination"; they elude me.
What a coincidence.. all the above 4 are in my wish-I-could list too. On a gentle note, not a deep sigh of despair. : ) @kkrish I have a picture with 4 generations of daughters. I've long wanted to write a creative and touching description for that... I look at it each Mother's Day, and the wish remains. @HazelPup I would settle for riding a water scooter without screaming loud enough to scare the sea animals. : ) @Srama I still remember the ignominy of sitting with neighborhood girls. They merrily stringing the flowers and maruvam (origanum majorana)with only thread, and I using a needle and thread. Still can't string flowers without needle. : ) @shravs3 - aahh... fit and healthy... was looking at pic to use on FB. Have to find one that was taken at just the right angle so I look most fit. : )
@Rihana , not to divert but your post reminded me of the book Wild Swans Wild Swans: Three Daughters of China by Jung Chang Some call it depressing but honestly I could not put the book down. I am ot sure how I felt feelings wise but it was such an eye opener to oh so many things! @kkrish and @Rihana .... bring it out ladies, the book/writing I mean
I m such a bad whistler....once i was whistling in class... ( college ) probably in my haed it was a song...but someone just shouted randonly who is this person making sounds like a small bird trying to fly. He said later it was more like ...psh...psh...psh.... I gave up after that. Mr Ashima whistles well...its one of the attributes of him through which we recognize him through camera...he hardly says hi...just whistles..and we our little Ira goes...pa pa pa pa ! I wish...if wishes were horses !
