    Janu was waiting for her husband
    . Her kids in their 5th and 3rd standards were studying. As usual her husband Raghu came in a drunken state . She got upset as the driver helped Raghu to her home. Most of the days Raghu comes home this way. Now she should provide him the meals he asks otherwise he will scream and she would get beatings too for useless problems like curry not tasty etc. Now today he was angry as Janu did not bring him juice. He started shouting. He lashed her too. Her neighbor Mohana came to rescue her from the beatings . Mohana asked Janu why is she patient with this fellow though being a graduate.she said she is putting up with him for the sake of her children, her parents who want their daughter to be in her family with husband no matter what.
    Next day her maid Banumathi came home late . Janu enquired her the reason .Banumathi told that her husband usually drinks and comes, sometimes beats her .To escape from him and to show him the disapproval she won't open the door or entertain him. He has to go hungry to sleep. Sometimes it rains outside and he can't even sleep outside. So this fear has bought little changes from him. He came home and apologised yesterday for his behavior and she enrolled him with a psychologist to get away completely from this addiction. He went to his job as a substaff in a bank today with full enthusiasm.
    Janu felt happy for Banumathi. Suddenly she felt a sword in her heart. Education and being wise is different. Banumathi learnt life skill even if not highly educated. Life skill is important. Janu got a feeling that she too can change Raghu by being firm with him.

    The short and sweet WISENESS brilliantly projects the importance of illiterate wisdom than the literate intelligence. As I enjoyed reading this story, I remembered largest circulated Tamil weekly margarine which is quite popular for such short yet meaningful stories. Congratulation. Real Janus will be happy to have Bhanumathis as their motivator.

    @sindmani,

    You are very right; education alone does not guarantee wisdom.
