    My dear Radha,
Thankyou very much for the feedback.
You have "meaningfully" wished me, praying for my peace at all times. Thankyou very much, Radha.

As always I only wish peace wasn't as rare as it is nowadays... Hope more people develop tolerance & advocate peace.

    Dear Chithra,
Thank you fo r your vivd description about the Shanthi recited after invocation. Have heard the same explanation from my school correspondent nearly 10 years ago. Almost forgotten, enlightened by you again.

Listening to news channels now a days is becoming a real pain.Got an urge to
include these lines after reciting all the slokas (given by you):
"Loka samastha sukino bhavanthu; sarve jaan sukino bhavanthu".

Thank you for refreshing my memory on "Shanthi"

    Dear ChitVish,

That was a very mind opening write-up on "Om Shantih Shantih Shantihi:". I was of the opinion that it meant, "Let there be peace in the world". I never knew that there was so much depth and profoundness to uttering just a simple word three times by knowing it's meaning and purpose. No wonder our religion is called "Sanathana Dharma".

Hats off to you for explaining the greatness and the depth behind the simple mantras which we take for granted and utter in a hurry. From now on, I will utter them knowing it's significance, and with God's grace, let us hope it destroys the disturbances due to Aadhi daivikam, Aadhi bowthikam, Aadhyatmikam.

    Thanks soo much,
Om Shantih Shantih Shantihi! Hari OM!
    Vidya

    Dear Vidya,
    Thankyou very much.
It is amazing the way, you are catcing up with the culture articles posted when you were away & reading them, posting feedbacks etc. No wonder, you are Mahaperiyaval's ardent devotee.
The depth & significance of the "why"s in our culture are matchless !
    Love,
    Chithra.

    Dear Chivish mam
Thanks for the great explanation for why say Om Shanthi, shanthi, shanthihi...
I was till date under the impression that three shanthis are said to bring in peace in all the 3 worlds.. (I am not sure if I read it somewhere).. but today I have got a clear understanding of this..

    Thanks a lot.

    Dear MK,
Yes, many chant Shantih thrice automatically. But when you understand, you enjoy it more.
    Love,
    Chithra.
