Whispering.

'Riiyaa...aa'.....'Riiyaa...aa'

Somebody was whispering my name. I woke up with a start. I looked around but no one was there. I looked at my husband who was in a deep sleep snoring. Maybe it was just a delusion. I went back to sleep.

The next morning I got up from the bed bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. I was very excited as we were throwing a party to celebrate my husband's promotion. I was very proud of my husband's achievement.

The party went great and everyone enjoyed themselves.
At night we made sweet love and fell asleep.

'Riiyaa...aa'.....'Riiyaa...aa'

Someone was whispering my name again. I woke up with a start and looked around but no one was there. I woke my husband up and asked him if he had heard something. He denied and said I must have seen a nightmare.

'Two days in a row??',wondered I. But my husband soothed me and I went back to sleep. The next morning I wasn't a happy camper.

'Riiyaa...aa'....'Riiyaa...aa'
It was the third night in a row when I heard someone whispering my name. It was getting creepy. I couldn't sleep that night.

'Riiyaa...aa'....'Riiyaa...aa'
The whispering at night became a norm. I was losing sleep at night. I was not able to concentrate on my work. My situation was getting pathetic.

My husband would tell me it was just my mind playing trick on me. I wanted to believe him but I knew someone was whispering my name.

'Riiyaa...aa'.....'Riiyaa...aa'

I started dreading my name being spoken... I would scream and cry... I would remain awake all night... But the whispering wouldn't stop... I couldn't take it anymore...

They say I am mentally unstable... They say I can hurt people... They sent me to an asylum.!

My husband came to say goodbye to me. He said,'Riiyaa...aa....Riiyaa...aa'
