where to buy kalchatti?

    I am looking to buy a kalchatti( the more the merrier ) for my cooking. Can you pls let me know the shops in chennai that are selling this?

    I buy it from the shops at Sri Rangam, Trichy. Just outside the temple. They sit on the left side, as you enter the temple.

    You can get in Mada Street of Lord Kapaleeswar Temple, Mylapore Chennai and also in Lord Muruga Temple Vadaplani Chennai.

    I guess these stores like Rathna, Saravana in T Nagar Chennai also sell all items.

    Oh... the last time at madurai, I must have visited more than 20 shops around the temple and city... no luck..
    but thank you for pointing out the thread to me :) I will start looking at those places also.

    You can buy kal chatti, eeya chombu, first grade iron dosa tawa, kuzhi paniyara kal etc from "Zishta". Please look up at Zishta on Facebook. They work directly with the very few remaining artisans to bring the traditional products to us.
