    Plz let me know if you know any place around Hougang Avenue 3, where I can buy fresh Fish/Prawn/Crab/Chicken/Mutton.

    Thanks Rajmyt, I think you are referring to "CI YUAN COMMUNITY CLUB, 51 Hougang Avenue 9 Singapore 538776" just browsed for this. Its 7 bus stops away from my place, Is this the one you are referring to? Please share your experience, if you have been there.

    @ Akila,

    I have not gone out yet for buying meats, I couldn't find any close to my place (Hougang Avenue 3), when I browsed I could see there is a wet market near Kovan MRT. I will update here when I visit there.

    Hi Ladies ,
    Can any one let me know which is the best cow milk brand to buy. I tried to make yogurt but it gets spoilt somehow. I have tried Meiji brand and Farmhouse.

    Hi Neha,

    Meiji full cream milk works for me. I make yogurt when the milk is still warm. Amul, magnolia have also worked for me in the past, but not used those recently.

    Hi AkilaMani,

    I make yogurt after the milk cools down and also it take 10 to 12 hours and there stays some unpleasant smell. In India it would just take 4 to 5 hours for the yogurt to get settled completely. So i end up buying yogurt from market.

    @neha, The milk should be warm when you add the yogurt. If it has cooled down to room temperature , heat it a bit and mix to make the temperature uniform. After adding yogurt , keep the container inside a cupboard. In 7-9 hrs should be set.
    I use Meiji, I have used greenfield as well as farmhouse too, all three set well.

    PS - what yogurt did you use for the starter?

    HI SunPa,

    Thanks for the info. I will try doing yogurt with warm milk. I have used farm union natural yogurt and nestle natural yogurt .
