What we gain and miss being in USA - a cool colection

Here is what I miss (not in any particular order):

First day excitement during the release of rajinikanth movie
Onion bajjis on the beach
Flowers for the head
RJ Suchi's banter on the radio
Min gossip sessions during functions
Countless facials, pedis ,manis (of course you can do this here to. But for the same price I can do it twice in India)
Marudhani (mehendi)
Feeling of familiarity with the local stand autoswalas, flower lady, fruit vendor, vegetable vendor etc.
Lots of people in the road (here you get it if you are in downtown)
Train journeys with the lovely fresh whiff of air blowing your hair backwards
The additional taste of eating food served over a banana leaf especially in marriages
Temples
Sound of the kulfi vendor on a hot summer night
Soanpapdi
Services of maid, driver, iron wala, cook
The Hindu paper
Snacks at grand sweets especially the free ones

What I gained:

Have become more independent
Gained lot of baking expertise
Become expert in vacuuming, doing dishes (if only the dishwasher was not always full to handle those big greasy pans)
Non polluted environment
Cleanliness
No pushing/shoving when in line
