    Juniper by Monica Furlong
It's a children's book, but it was had some very meaningful lessons, that have formed a lot of my ideology. The main character is learning how to use herbs and magic - and while it all seems so fantastical, the lesson she learns during her training - being aware of her surrounding, the sacrifice one must make to eat, and how to be more open-minded (rather than judgemental as she was in the beginning for the book).

My favourite read as a child were books by Enid Blyton. I was mad after Malory Towers stories, Famous Five, Secret Seven and Five find outers. I used to dream of studying in a similar boarding school and eating all that yummy food Blyton would write about in her books.

I used to love reading Malory Towers by Enid Blyton. It was a school series and not to forget the funny tales of Mr. Meddle and Mr. Twiddle.
I had a collection of the Mystery series by Enid Blyton which circled around the mysteries solved by Fatty and his friends.

Thank you for bringing back those memories through your thread :)
