dear ladies...in our 80's and 90's we hav come across lots of good actress in malayalam films.
Like Ranjini(i guess the name is correct)..the one who acted in CHITRAM with Mohan Lal..she also acted in "mukundetta sumithra vilikkunnu"
Karthika-acted in Gabdhi nagar 2nd streeet..with mohanlal.?? where is she...???
Kanaga-godfather fame..with Mukesh..also acted in Vietnam Colony with mohan lal..
There was anothr actress Sunitha..does any1 remembr her??whr is she now?? she acted in kaliveedu as jagadeesh's wife
We still know about Shobana,Ambika,Geeta Menaka...but what happend to the others??

I read somewhere that KARTHIKA got married to a doctor based in MALDIVES and she's settled there. But I have no clue about other actresses.

Hi Megh,
No idea about others but have seen Karthika at some temples.She looked vey simple .I loved her movies,neat & cute.She got married to a Doctor who is related to her & I read somewhere that she dont want to be in the limelight anymore & hence avoids media.

Yes Ami the list includes Mathu also...

Whenever the channels telecast those 90movies I used to wonder where all these heroines are?Maybe the media was not that strong at that time so they gradually disappeared from the scene.

recently I saw the movie "thirakatha" starring prithviraj ,samvritha and priyamani. its a story abot a director n his crew searching for a long forgotten actress...hope u ppl mus have seen it...from that time onwards i started thinkg abt these good actress..

Karthika is my cousin's SIL.. last heard from my cousin that she is happily married and settled.. Have even seen her in one of the wedding videos of a distant relative ! So all is well there..

Ranjini.. she was too good in Chitram, right !
