Another light-hearted thread. What fun things would you like to do in this lifetime - Learn to paint photo-realistically - have my own line of oil pastels which represents colors of India and allows for photorealistic painting - get reddish/brown highlights for my jet-black hair (would soft pastels on hair work?) - go to beautyschool, get beautician license. Give Free makeovers to family and friends. Have professional coffee maker at home. Make Dad super excellent coffee. - learn to create and paint pottery - sew and embroider my own linen - learn to use a 3-d printer (if only I can blend color of filaments) - kiss each baby on the street and give a lollipop (with parents permission, of course) - Go on an enjoyable, worry-free trip with my Dad

That's a creative list, CE. I had to give it some real thought to come up with even few items to match that variety. - learn how to make bed like they do in hotels, including the animal shaped towels - buy and use the fanciest 600 thread count cotton embroidered comforter that I won't simply because it is expensive - A long train journey in India (top of list) - Start to knit, even a small square pouch. - Hand-stitch the fall on a pastel mauv'ish organza saree and have occasion to wear it - Attend a 3 day wedding in India with all the rituals. - Own a farm and grow fruits of my choice. - Run an Airbnb based on that farm. - Ride in a firetruck : ) not out on an emergency drive - Paint a room with no urgency to finish the job soon - Be allowed to sponge paint one wall of the room - have a garden that gives fresh flowers year round to put around the house - make a stop-motion animation of the early morning fog giving way to the sun at my favorite vista point
Ouch !! To me these two things are the most boring acts, that hardly I can endure. You really love going on a long train journey and a three days marriage ?!
Travel by A/C two tier. The blue seats. The clean bathrooms. Food delivered to seat. Clean linen available to pay for. TT coming and checking tickets unhurriedly, pausing to chat. Buying magazines before the train starts. Espresso coffee at remote small town station at 3 am in the morning... Standing by the door of the moving train as it goes through the countryside. The last time I travelled like this by train was when PVNR was PM. Been about as long since I attended a full-fledged wedding. the food.. the dressing up.. all the relatives in one place, the solemnity of the rituals ... the predictable comments and tantrums from the usual suspects. : )
Its one of my favourite.i always love train journey. I think i inherited this hobby from my mother. Even today once in a year we do get a chance to have 8 days picnic having train journey between. I just luv it for all the fun reasons u mentioned. I also luv playing cards during train journey.
Very interesting list u have. I totally agree with point to have a garden full of fresh flowers around house. I do hav a garden but it has less flower plants. Now i m slowly going to jncrease flower plants in it. My dream is to have big basket of fresh flowers daily from my own garden for my pooja
The title is similar to ur bucket list. While i was kid i was always amused by the ice skating aerobic dance competition held in Olympic games. I used to watch it for hours n hours. It is so much in my memory that i always use to say i will give it a try one day. When i was in Singapore for few months there was a class of ice skating in a mall. By seeing n hearing stories of people getting injury i got frightened n just move away from my dream. But still a part of me says to build up courage and give it a genuine try next time in future. Waiting for that day when i will simply see myself skating smoothly n gracefully
