What Do You think is better for the reception : Indian Wear or Western Wear

    Hi,
    Recently , I have heard from a popular designer that there is a lot of demand for Western wear like Evening Gowns etc for the Wedding Reception.
    I would like your opinion on whether Indian Brides should wear Indian Traditional Wear or Western wear for their Wedding Reception.

    I think in Indian traditional weddings/receptions Indian bride looks more beautiful only in India wear. How many times does a girl get to wear such exotic dresses anyway?
    Western wear can be worn for someone else's wedding/reception :rotfl

    So, my vote would be for Indian wear in Indian weddings.

    indian women look good in indian wear as their bodies are shaped like that, an evenin gown will not suit them, for westerners gowns look good as theri body fram is like that and in a reception wear indian wear it looks more elegant and very sexy as well.

    I vote for the Indian dress. All Indian girls look beautiful and gorgeous in Indian wear, only some look good in western wear.

    Indian dress is nice for this reason Indian girls are so beauty in this world for wearing this dress.

    Wedding is once in a lifetime occasion and every Indian bride looks lovely in the traditional saree/lehenga/ghagra etc. You can wear traditional bridal jewellery only on this one big day.

    I would vouch for Indian attire.

    However, just wanted to suggest. Is your wedding ceremony and the reception two different functions? If yes, then yeah, maybe you could try a rich evening gown for the reception since you would have already worn a Indian bridal outfit for the wedding ceremony.

    White gown is my personal choice...bcoz of its simple and elegant look...

    But I know, its not possible in our culture...Our society depends for all bright colours and heavy designs and very grant outfit...One has to go with traditional wears which goes perfect with the heavy designer jewels and grant look apt for the big day...Rich culture what else to say...

    I vote for typical Indian dresses too :) nearly nothing more beautifull then an Indian bride in traditional cloths :) looking glorious and a lot of different styles and combinations are nowadays possible :) :)
