Re: Books I enjoyed the most...

am posting after a long time. Just got done with "breakfast with Buddha" - the first few pages were a real drag but the momentum later is gripping. Loved it.

I read a book on gardening a little while ago. The organic Garden green and easy by Alan Shepherd. While the book as such would interest gardening enthusiasts and more precisely those who like reading about gardening, what I really liked was a story the author narrates.

It is about a shepherd called Elzeard Bouffier who single handedly converts a desolate valley in a corner of France into a green forest. Just google for E. Bouffier and you will know about his greening efforts. LOvely story. A must for those who love nature and are concerned about deforestation.

I finished reading "The Notebook" - IL Book Club Feb2010 chosen book - just last week.
I really enjoyed it. Thank you Gayathri for suggesting the wonderful book. I have just started with "Pride and Prejudice" - IL Book Club Mar/Apr 2010 book. I hope I'll finish it faster this time, especially since I have been able to get hold of a wonderful audio version of the book!

Why is there no sticky thread on IL Book Club May 2010? I hope someone will start suggesting books. Though I am a late reader, I enjoy being part of the IL Book Club and hope that it will continue.

I am also looking for the review thread for "Pride and Prejudice" - IL Book Club Mar/Apr 2010. Please post me a link if you find it..
