what are the uses of flax seeds and how to take?

hi, as its said by abovr people, flax seeds contain omega3, unsaturated fats,which are good for health.. i recently started using it. i dnt lik the raw smell of it, so i boil 2 tspn of the powder in hot water n fliter it before consuming,
can any 1 suggest if its good to hv it this way?

You can try in nilgiris. I used to buy it from nilgiris in Bangalore and at the back of the pack they will have a detailed list about the uses of flax seed. As it contains fibre, diabetics can certainly take flax seed. You can get flax seed oil also, but read the storage instruction carefully before buying oil.

You can actually buy any brand. But buy milled flax seed and keep it inside fridge. I've been told it becomes rancid, if u keep it outside ,after opening the package. Use 1 to 2 tsp not more than that.
