    Dear bloom:
    1. wash green chillies, drain wash water, remove stalks, store in foldtop sandwich bags in the refrigerator. they will stay fresh for long.
    2. you may also soak green chillies in water with vinegar and baking soda for 10 mins, rinse in clear water, remove stalks and store as 1.
    Take one liter of water, 1tbsp baking soda and 1/2 cup of vinegar. this is a large quantity for a few green chillies. so, plan and simultaneously wash your palak and dhaniya as well. (portion the fluid mix)

    Hi vasundhara:
    Did that for a year. then i got ecofriendly (try to practice reduce, recycle and reuse as much as possible) and stopped (aluminium is a metal, and the gulf has practically nonexistent recycling facilities. all the plastic and metal we discard is piling up in landfills in the desert. instead, i found a super oven/grill/gas cleaner called "safeguard". spray lightly, it foams, let is soak for about 10 minutes and wipe clean with wet cloth or towel. my 8 year old gas cooking range continues to shine white. if the range is extra dirty, repeat a few times, then it needs only light maintenance..

    Hi......

    Yesterday i spilt lil turmeric on light cream colour carpet by mistake :cry: ... now its looking really odd with an yellow stain on it...

    How do i remove that stain... ??? plz help me out :help
