Your question is very very difficult...I can tell you my personal opinion.... its strictly for my patients and practice...i dont prefer calcium suplements...many patients ( even I) have constipation....the proper absorption of pills is questionable...If at all I give then, thats for one month...I advice them to take healthy food...see my advice is only to them whose blood calcium level is normal...if level is deranged we have to Supplement Ca

:hatsoff: to the service approach you possess, Just wanted to understand the pros and cons of using tomatoes in the daily cooking, Somehow most of (75%) of my dishes have tomatoes and onion ( probably 1-3 a day for a couple) Please drop in reply at your leisure.. Hello Doctor,

I will have milk mixed with one spoon of lion dates syrup.
But some person are telling,we should not mix calcium and iron together.

Is it true?
Can i have both seperately in some intervals?

Welcome...
yes we should never take iron and calcium supplements together due to absorption issues. but you can take dates with milk as dates are not iron supplement..
Iron, technically a mineral and not a vitamin is usually best not taken with other vitamin capsules, or at least with any supplements that may contain calcium. It’s a good idea to take iron with vitamin C, which can actually help you better absorb iron. So it's fine to take different vitamin capsules together if one is iron and the other does not contain calcium. It can also help to take iron with foods that contain lactic acid, or foods that contain citric acid, like orange juice. Don’t take your iron with milk, but you can, ironically, take it with yogurt.
It also can be important to take certain different vitamin capsules with foods that will best absorb them. For instance, vitamins D, A, and E are all fat soluble, and best taken with a meal that contains fat. If you’re using milk as your fat source, you’ll again want to avoid taking an iron supplement at the same time.

Some Exercise Tips .....

Take a walk each and every day! You can start with 15 min and then building to 45min and then an hour an a half! You will be amazed just how quickly you will see results—not just in your weight loss, but your overall sense of well-being. Regular exercise limits stress and anxiety and there is also the bonus that you could walk in some really beautiful places.
Watch no more than 2 h of TV a day. Studies have shown that adults who watch more than 2 h of TV per day take in 7% more calories and consume more sugary snacks than those who watch less than an hour a day.
Take five (thousand) extra steps a day. A typical person takes about 5000 steps per day between going to work, running errands and doing chores around the house.Doubling that number can have significant health benefits: higher ‘good’ HDL cholesterol levels, lower blood pressure, improved glucose control, of course, a lower number on the weighing scale. Walking more steps per day also leads to a lower percentage of body fat and slimmer waists and hips.
Drink at least eight glasses of water per day. Water is not just a thirst quencher―it actually speeds the body's metabolism. No calories are ingested when drinking water,instead calories are used. Try drinking a glass before meals and snacks and before consuming sweetened drinks or juices.
And finally, stand up for your goals.

Dear Surabhi,
welcome to IL, i love the way you a re guiding everyone its really good.
a few questions,

i would like to know how would one burn belly fat, i go to the gym everyday, except wednesdays, saturday and sunday. i do weight training and aeorbics not together but on their specific days. I loose weight but sometimes it crawls back.

How would i break the plateau, please explain in simple words, my trainer changes my programs i think every 3 months.

i eat healthy, and am a gym freak, i make everything at home from fresh juice to foods. my dinner is soup made of vegetables i put in all vegetables, pumpkin, lauki and other vegetables, pressure cook them sieve them and add little butter, salt and pepper and i have it. i also take in lots of fruits.i look

i look forward to your reply. My height is 5"4, weight is fluctating between 55kg to 58kg i would like my weight to be 54kg, and reduce the belly i have .
