Week By Week Changes To Lose Weight

    Hi Everyone,

    I have come back to this site after many months.
    Have lost and gained weight many times during these months as much as 10kgs. All regained now.

    This time around I have decided to take things slowly and make changes step by step. Would welcome anyone who would like to join me.

    Using this site to hold myself accountable and plan to update daily.

    Proposed changes -

    Week 1 : Track calories (DONE)
    Week 2 : Walking 5000 steps & try and eat only when hungry
    Week 3 : Walking 10000 steps & sweets alternative days only (eat a lot of chocolates)
    Week 4 : Walking 10000 steps & listen to my fullness signal, stop eating when full
    Week 5 : Add 10 suryanamaskars & 2 dinners a week to be soup and salad


    I already eat fruits everyday and salad with dinner (mostly carrot and cucumber) will continue with that.

    Week 1 :

    31st Oct : 85kg 1916cal
    1st Nov : 84.2 kg 1862cal
    2nd Nov : 84.1 kg 2132cal (dinner outside)
    3rd Nov : 84.4 kg 1738cal
    4th Nov : 83.7 kg 2029cal
    5th Nov : 83.5 kg 1825cal (dinner outside)
    6th Nov : 84.0 kg 2073cal (bfast and dinner outside)


    Week 2 :
    7th Nov : 84.3 (p's started 6th onwards)

    Week 2:
    1. Will continue tracking calories
    2. 5000 steps a day
    3. Try and eat only when hungry
    4. Continue with fruits everyday and salad with dinner on most days.

    7th Nov : 84.3kg 1761cal 5.5k steps (p's started 6th onwards)
    8th Nov : 83.9kg (p's continue)


    Week 2---------------------------------- 7----8----9----10----11----12----13.
    1. Track calories------------------------ Y
    2. 5000 steps--------------------------- Y
    3. Eat only when hungry--------------- Y
    4. Fruits everyday & Salad w dinner-- Y

    returning to this site after long long time ,
    would like to join u in losing weight
    I dont have a maid and i do all the house hold chores !
    Chitramma is my inspiration for this :worship2:.

    Nov 8th today is my first day .
    hey priya tell me do keeping tracking dairy of wat we eat daily will help us in this marathon of losing weight !

    Would love to have company and motivation.
    Yes Tracking the food intake is very important so that we can make changes along the way. I'm using an online tracker Livestrong MyPlate since the last week or so.
    We can post here as well.....as you suggest....I have posted my daily calories in total calories.

    I would love to be a part..and I too want a weight lose...no hurry...slowly..I want to change my habits and be sincere...

    I happened to read Shilpa Shetty's Great Indian Diet...and its a doable diet...I'm following that... If anyone wants I'll share

    I haven't read her book. If possible do give the main points....:blush:

    After losing and gaining on so many diets......have decided not to start a diet but to make changes slowly one by one.
