    Hi friends,
I have been going through all the posts about waxing at home.. I tried the following but failed :hide: :
    8 Tablesppon sugar
    1 lime juice
    very little water

I heated the above in the wax pot that we find in beauty parlours till bearable heat and applied the wax in reverse direction(from down to up:crazy)... and i placed those strips and removed immediately.. NOTHING HAPPENS :spin...........Pls specify where I am going wrong.. I have waxed before in Beauty parlours and know the process so I felt comfortable..only thing the hair does not come out :rotfl............

Help me as my hair is too coarse and grows very soon giving odd look.....

    Thankssss...

You should not apply it in reverse direction. You should apply it the direction of hair growth. Making procedure is also wrong. Even if the hair coarse or little, you can wax it off with this method.

Preparing right consistency would be effective and easy way to remove the hairs.

    2 cups of sugar
1/4 cup of water (some people use distilled water, but tap water is just fine
1/4 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice or vinegar ( lemon juice is better)

    A saucepan
    A plastic container or jar
Ice cream sticks or any other spatulla
Cotton strips (cut out an old cotton cloth)

    Preparation
    * Combine all the ingredients in a saucepan.
    * Start stirring the mixture on low temperature, until the bubbles start showing up.
    * Let the mix cool down.Make sure the mix has cooled enough so it doesn't burn you.
Using the spatulla or stick, spread the mix in the direction of hair growth.

Place the cotton strip, press with your fingers a bit and then pull in the direction opposite the hair growth.

To wash off, use warm water and soap, that will do it.

    Hi,
You may use wax strips which have wax applied on them
