    Viswa, the definition, connotation of Naradha and Naradha version of Watson is an entire interesting topic by itself. The point I was trying to make was that Gauri's "Devil's Advocate" is in no way similar to Naradha, Kaliyuga Naradha, or a Naradha version of Watson. I have no quibbles about accepting a Watson titled "Naradha version of Watson" but would like to separate Gauri's Watson from the other Watson.

    I hope anyone reading this is laughing as hard at the above attempts at distinction as I am.

    Moving on.. I am now reading up about "advocatus diaboli" thanks to the mention above. Came to know that it was formally a respectable position in the Catholic Church. Interesting also to read that though now discontinued, the testimony of such critics is informally still sought for some canonizations, and two people testified thus for (or rather against) Mother Teresa's canonization.

    Hmm, generally, I don't like to make arguments that would offend any religion. Let me make one final argument and rest the case. In my view, Narada is independent and unpredictable and spoke his mind without any fear or favor even to the highest powers. He wasn't designated to argue a particular position by the higher powers.

    Let us assume "Devil's advocate's heart told him that Mother Teresa is a wonderful soul to be canonized but if his official position is to argue against, do you think he is practicing the teachings of Jesus?

    First, those who were wondering "Why no negative Watson" rule, the answer is very simple. The very same reason why IL practices net etiquette not to criticize each other, not enter into verbal battle and treat each other with respect. Moderators take extraordinary efforts to prevent any unnecessary exchanges and sometimes remove them to maintain harmony. I didn't like one of my snippets to face such situation and hence I requested the members to suggest only positives of the members.

    Second, my list was not all inclusive and that is precisely why I requested other members to come up with more suggestions. Any omission is not intentional or to slight anyone who did well in another category other than what I had mentioned in my list.

    Third, my not acknowledging any specific Watson recommendation is not intentional. It means I like their recommendation.

    Fourth, I came up with "no negative Watson" rule after a few pages because I was under the impression the members are going to bring up positive recommendations. I had communicated this rule on the first available opportunity.

    Fifth, I have no ill-will for anyone mentioning a negative Watson here nor I expect members to be sensitive or judgmental. In fact, most take constructive criticism nicely and are very professional in their interactions. It is just complying with the rules of engagement in writing here. That is all.

    Seventh (leaving the sixth as spare for above) : ) Rihana thinks she is a very very bad girl. She should pay someone to change her IL password. Someone good mind you (not like the bad guys who cause security breaches).

    ==================

    Some more Watson's:
    - Banter Queens: @Archanaanchan @Naari @Sandycandy. The original Watson title was The Young and the Restless, but that is taken. Banter/chatter by these ladies never fails to cheer up the reader. Just as well, and just in time for the Monday-Fast thread, one of the founders has started a thread unto them. Coincidentally, I read about Kangana Ranaut's interviews in their chatter only, and now have a girl-crush on her.

    - Another Peaceful and Inspiring but not overwhelming Story: @iyerviji Whenever I feel like reading a peaceful, inspiring story, I can rely on one of my dear Pyaari Viji's snippets. For me, within IL, Viji is an entity unto herself. Reading any snippet by Viji brings me an undefined peace. Though, as temperaments go, we are so different.

    - Inspiring Story of Women from a few decades ago: This is for @jayasala42. I never tire of reading about the women she mentions now and then in her own snippets or in response to others' snippets.

    The Unflappy Bird: This Watson is for Viswa himself. Always measured in response. The effort and thought put into posts, very discernible. I hope to emulate this one day to at least a certain degree.
